WHO WE ARE

SARUC (Southern African Roll Users Conference) is organised at suitable intervals (as determined by the Committee) by those metal and allied industries that use rolls in the manufacture of their products. The conferences are of a very high standard. 

Approximately 280 delegates participate, of whom 100 are from the Steel Industry, with the balance being suppliers of all types of equipment and services within the Steel Industry. 

The conference is a forum for the exchange of knowledge in the metal and allied industries with the aim of improving quality, productivity, cost of production, and technical expertise. It allows delegates the opportunity to meet fellow users as well as local and international suppliers of equipment, consumables, and services.

The opinion of delegates is tested after each conference, in order to assess the success of the conference, gauge the needs of the industry, preferences regarding venues, technical papers etc., to continually improve and meet the needs of the industry.
